Mari Lubin married Richard Kalman on Oct. 12, 2013. Brandeis alumni in attendance included her father, Joel Lubin ’69, P’07, and Mike Snyder, Melissa Gordon, Brittany Rosen, Julie Schwartz, Lisa Kaplin, Kalina Ehrenreich-Piot ’08, Christine Fulton and Jordan Skolnick. Vered Rainisch married Craig Gottesman on July 3, 2014, at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Vered is an analyst at Dataminr, a social-media analytics company in New York, where she works on a team that alerts public-sector clients to breaking news identified through Twitter messages. Craig is an associate at Brightwood Capital Advisors in New York. Rabbi Yael Buechler married Yair Kramer on May 25, 2014. Yael’s father, Rabbi Howard Buechler, P’07, P’12, P’16, officiated at the Dix Hills (N.Y.) Jewish Center, where he serves as rabbi. Yael is the rabbi-in-residence at the lower school of the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester in White Plains. She is the founder of MidrashManicures.com, which conveys Torah topics through nail art done at religious institutions and synagogues. Sharon Shrago married Scott Susman on Oct. 13, 2013, in Omaha, Neb., where they live. Joshua Adland married Karen Wolf on Oct. 20, 2013, at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile hotel. Joshua’s father, Rabbi Jonathan Adland, led the ceremony. Josh works in Manhattan as a national marketing manager at Kaplan Test Prep. Abra Lyons-Warren married Jonathan Fischer on Oct. 13, 2013, at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Abra, an education consultant, received master’s degrees in social work and public policy from the University of Chicago. She had worked as the constituent liaison in the Chicago office of Illinois State Rep. Barbara Flynn Currie, the House majority leader. Jonathan is managing editor of Washington City Paper, an alternative weekly newspaper in D.C. Abby Reiss-Carnow was named to the third annual “Double Chai in the Chi: 36 Under 36” list of young Jewish movers and shakers in Chicago. Presented by the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s Young Leadership Division and Oy!Chicago, the list recognizes young professionals for making a difference through their work and giving back in their free time. Clifford Silverman married Francesca Butnick on May 3, 2014, at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan. A securities litigation associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, he received his law degree from New York University.
