Hannah (Boots) Janoowalla graduated from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and is doing her residency in OB-GYN at Einstein/Montefiore in the Bronx. Jacqueline Rothschild-Lindenfeld and her husband, Max Lindenfeld, are parents. Daughter Yakira Shalva was born on Aug. 3, 2014. Dan Beller received a PhD in physics from the University of Pennsylvania in April 2014 and began a postdoctoral fellowship in applied mathematics at Harvard in the fall. Edward Ebani graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University. He is doing his medical internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and will begin a four-year residency in radiology at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2015. Etta King writes that she, Aliza Schwartz ’11 and Marisa Turesky ’13 graduated from the Jewish Organizing Fellowship at JOIN for Justice in Boston. “After a year of learning, loving challenges and music, we are ecstatic to contribute our unique skills as Jewish organizers to the myriad communities in which we work and play,” Etta says. Elisette Weiss is engaged to Jacob Bockelmann ’09. They live together in San Francisco. Rachel Markman and Yuki Hasegawa ’09, IBS MA’10, were engaged in 2014. Eben Cottrelle is working for the Peace Corps in Guyana. She will serve for two years at Laluni Primary School, focusing on literacy in grades 1-6. Emma Reidy and Matthew A. Kessler are engaged and planning to get married in August 2015. After teaching English at the medical school in Montpellier, France, for two years, Geoffrey Cohen is pursuing a master’s degree in the commerce of wine at the Université de Montpellier. Meghan McHale will marry Christian Dangremond ’07 on Dec. 13, 2014, in Reading, Pa. Daniel Ortner and his wife, Jessica, welcomed baby Ilana Rose on June 27, 2014, in Washington, D.C. Jenna Brofsky graduated Order of the Coif from George Washington University Law School. Gordon Millner married Maria Raspa on Jan. 11, 2014, in Somerset, N.J. Lital Shair and Garrett Nada became engaged in April 2014. After teaching for four years in New Orleans, Jonah Seligman will spend 2015 teaching English in Malaysia on a Fulbright fellowship. On June 7, 2014, Allie Mussen married Nick Arnold on Fern Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of New York state. Brandeisians in attendance included Danielle Lavallee ’11, Benjamin Gurvis, Emily Vaillette Gurvis, Londyn Graham ’11 and bridesmaid Erin Ross. Desiree Murphy married Olusegun Babaniyi ’06, MS’08, on Sept. 28, 2013, at the Hilton Boston Back Bay. They reside in Hartford, Conn. Beth Pisarik graduated from Tufts School of Medicine in May 2014 and is doing a residency in pediatrics at MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
