Beth (Bowman) AlFayad and her husband, Mohammad, welcomed daughter Dahlia on Oct. 21, 2015. Tamar Ariel and Matthew (Mak) Kravitz ’07 were engaged on Thanksgiving in Malibu, California. They met in 2012 through mutual friends Amanda Hecker; Miriam Ganem-Rosen, MA’11; and Cory Julie ’07 while living in Washington, D.C. Tamar and Matthew, who now live in Durham, North Carolina, plan to wed in January 2017. Ezra Fishman successfully defended his dissertation and in May received a PhD in demography from the University of Pennsylvania. Debra Fricano, who earned a master’s degree in experiential Jewish education from the Davidson School of Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary, is now director of programming and engagement at Hunter College Hillel, in New York City. Deborah Frisch graduated summa cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and began working at a New York City firm. Sean Fullerton and Stephanie Sapowicz celebrated their marriage on Aug. 29, 2015, at a summer camp in Windsor, New Hampshire, surrounded by family and friends. Miriam Ganem-Rosen and Cory Julie ’07 were married in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 31, 2015. Many Brandeisians joined the celebration. Jasmine Gothelf graduated with an LLM in international, European and French law from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Nine years after meeting each other on the first day of freshman year, Jason Gray, MA’10, and Jackie Feinberg were married on Nov. 7, 2015, in Philadelphia. Etta King Heisler and Ryan Heisler were married in October 2015. Brandeisians at the celebration unanimously dubbed it the “party of the decade.” The newlyweds live and work at the Leslie Science and Nature Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where Etta is the camp and public-programs director, and Ryan is the caretaker and an organic farmer. Maxine Kantor graduated from William James College in June with a doctorate in clinical psychology. Her studies focused on children and families. She lives in Needham, Massachusetts, and is pursuing postdoctoral fellowships in the Boston area. Arielle Kaplan and David Warshaw were engaged on June 18, 2015, at Belvedere Castle in Central Park. Judith Simons Marks and Ariel Marks welcomed a son, Eliav Moshe, into the world on Sept. 13, 2015. Justin Melloni married longtime girlfriend Caitlin Mason on Oct. 8, 2015, at the Barn at Gibbet Hill, in Groton, Massachusetts. Emma Reidy and Matthew A. Kessler were married on Aug. 16, 2015, in Newport, Rhode Island. Many Brandeis friends attended. Adam Ross is pursuing his master’s degree in geography and urban planning at Hebrew University, in Jerusalem. He works at the Israeli Ministry of Education’s Development Authority, which plans and funds the construction of school buildings. Linnea Sage released her first two children’s books — “A Forest of Families” and “How to Have a Happy Hanukkah” — on the Apple iBooks store. Lital Shair married Garrett Nada on Oct. 11, 2015, in Brooke­ville, Maryland, with many Brandeis friends in attendance. Rebecca Wilkof married Yaakov Mayerhoff on March 13. Many Brandeisians were present, including bridesmaids Rachel Sherman and Lilah Zohar ’14.
