Former Brandeis softball player Cori Coleman was a member of the U.S. open women’s softball team at the 20th World Maccabiah Games. Maccabi USA sent more than 1,100 athletes to the Games, held in July in Israel. Aliza Gans is associate editor at Panna, a culinary startup in NYC. Mia Katan was awarded an English Teaching Assistantship to Vietnam by the Fulbright Program. She double-majored in international and global studies, and politics, and minored in legal studies at Brandeis, then worked as a paralegal specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice. After completing the assistantship, she intends to pursue a master’s in human rights and international development. Caylin Marotta earned a master’s from the Boston University School of Public Health in May. Noam Steinman married Leora Jaffe in Jerusalem last winter. Many Brandeis friends flew in to celebrate with the happy couple. Yasmin Yousof-Ibrahim earned an English Teaching Assistantship to India from the Fulbright Program. She graduated from Brandeis with a double major in politics and education studies. During her Fulbright year, in addition to teaching English, Yasmin will help students organize poetry workshops and performances. She plans to pursue an MA in teaching and work as an English as a Second Language teacher in an urban setting with at-risk youth.
