David Fried and Molly (Katancik) Fried ’10 welcomed son Elchanan on Feb. 2. Jay Hyne and Elissa (Glucksman) Hyne welcomed their second child, Brady Jacob, on Dec. 22. Big sister Lily is 2 years old and loves having a little brother. Jackie (Cooperman) Jossen and her husband, Matt, welcomed their second baby girl, Lilah Hazel, on Feb. 7. Rach Margolies and her husband, Michael Hoffnung, welcomed a son, Isaac Asher, in January. Aunt Shira Margolies Waldstreicher ’04, MA’05, uncle Jon Waldstreicher ’05 and cousin Rebecca Pollack ’13 are celebrating the arrival. After living in Texas for five years, Joshua Shifrinson is returning to Boston as an assistant professor of international relations at Boston University. He looks forward to reconnecting with fellow Brandeisians in the area. Joshua’s first book, “Rising Titans, Falling Giants: How Great Powers Exploit Power Shifts,” is being published this summer by Cornell University Press. Joshua Simmons was appointed vice chair of the Intellectual Property Owners Association’s Software-Related Inventions Committee, and is a member of the advisory board of the Copyright Society of the USA. Lt. Cmdr. Loretta Stein, a medical doctor, married Joshua Green on Jan. 7 at the Congregation Adat Reyim, in Springfield, Virginia, with a reception at Fort Belvoir Officers’ Club.
