After a national election, Pearl Berman, P’11, is president-elect of the National Partnership to End Interpersonal Violence. Pearl is chair of the psychology department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her textbook for clinical psychology students is in its fourth edition. She lives in Indiana, Pennsylvania, with her husband of 42 years, Michael Vaporis ’76, P’11. Wendy Jo Einhorn Brodsky writes, “After more than 40 years in the workforce, I have officially retired, concluding a 33-year executive career with Bank of America. The timing was perfect, since our son (who lives in Israel) announced his engagement three weeks later, necessitating a quick trip for an engagement party in June followed by the wedding in early October. My daughter was married in early January. I’m so busy with volunteering, exercising, reading, cooking, traveling and so on, I wonder how I ever had time to work. As a more-than-10-year cancer survivor, I feel really fortunate to begin this next chapter.” In May, Leah and Steve Chatinover, P’09, P’12, P’17, celebrated the West Hartford, Connecticut, wedding of son Jacob ’12 and Julia Snyder. At the engagement party, Steve reconnected with Beth Huppin ’79. In June, while visiting his son’s in-laws, Steve caught up with Elaine Sachter ’80. “Who knew a wedding could reconnect bicoastal Brandeisians?” he writes. Joanne Rosenberg is retiring from her position as director of medical writing at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. She plans to volunteer with the American Medical Writers Association and to freelance, while spending more time with family, including her two grandsons. Carin Roth has welcomed a grandson. She also has a granddaughter 13 months older than the new baby. Ilene Strauss reports she finally made aliyah in 2016 after being on the five-year plan for eight cycles. She lives in Jerusalem, teaches at the Machon Hartman High Schools for boys and girls, and enjoys reconnecting with her Brandeis friends in Israel.
