Inbar Galili-Schachter
Visiting Scholar
Inbar Galili-Schachter recently completed her doctoral research in Jewish education at the Hebrew University. Her dissertation deals with the hermeneutic practices and pedagogic orientations of teachers of Jewish texts in secular Israeli high schools. Inbar worked for many years in teacher education and curriculum development for Israel's Ministry of Education and for the Kerem Institute for Training Humanistic Jewish Educators. An instructor at the Melton Center for Jewish Education in Israel, she also taught Jewish philosophy at the high school level for many years. Her areas of interest are teacher education, professional development, the teaching of Jewish texts and hermeneutics in teaching.
