Applying for DeLeT

Master of Arts in Teaching (DeLeT)

APPLICATION & CONTACT INFORMATION

Applications are currently being accepted

To apply to the new Elementary MAT (DeLeT) Program, please do the following:

1. Complete your online application. Applications to the DeLeT program are processed through the Brandeis Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Please review all requirements for the general MAT and DeLeT speficially (see below). When ready to apply, follow the application guidelines given and apply online using the GSAS application. PLEASE NOTE: You should NOT complete the financial aid application or the personal statement on the GSAS form. In place of the statement, you must respond to the two separate essay questions below via email directly to the MAT program.

2. In 3-5 pages, please address both of the following prompts and email it in one document to MAT@brandeis.edu.

• Explain one or two of your core reasons for wanting to be an elementary day school teacher.
• Describe a teacher who had a profound impact on you.

3. You may be contacted for an interview.
