Adjusted Room Capacity

This chart shows
Brandeis classrooms adjusted to correspond more closely with course enrollments,
resulting in a better fit between classes and classrooms. Rickes Associates has
determined that currently, on average, 14.4 square feet are allocated for each
seat. The target is 20 square feet per seat. Adjusting room
capacities, as shown in this chart, would result in more classrooms in the 21-30
seat range (39% of classrooms vs. 15% currently). In this adjusted
arrangement, quantities of large auditoria and fixed-seat rooms remain as they
are.
