Landscape Strategy Plan
This plan by Carol R.
Johnson Associates, the landscape planning firm on our Campus
Master Planning Team, identifies areas of the campus to focus maintenance
practices ranging from natural (minimal maintenance required except some
occasional clearing of the edges of woods), moderately maintained
(more naturalized landscapes with native trees and groundcovers), and highly
maintained (open spaces maintained primarily as lawns). The plan also
identifies areas of campus that reflect significant deferred maintenance or have
greater potential to be studied further, the proposed location of the main
pedestrian spine, and typical roadway widths.
