NSF Site Visit

The National Science Foundation (NSF) will be visiting the Brandeis MRSEC on May 14-15, 2018 to conduct a four-year site review. All MRSEC Funded Principal Investigators are strongly encouraged to attend this visit.

MRSEC Winter School

The first Brandeis MRSEC Winter School will be held from February 27 to March 1, 2018 at the Highland Center in Crawford Notch, NH. There will be workshops, training sessions, and discussion of research, as well as an opportunity to hike and explore the beautiful White Mountains with fellow MRSEC participants.

Introduction to Microfluidics Technology

The Brandeis Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) invites graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and industrial scientists and engineers to apply for their annual Introduction to Microfluidics Technology summer course taking place at Brandeis University from June 25th-29th 2018.

The hands-on course was developed for scientists and engineers interested in utilizing microfluidic technology in the physical and life sciences. Students enrolled will have the opportunity to learn different microfluidic fabrication techniques and create custom-made microfluidics devices relevant to their research or work. MRSEC Seminars and IRG Meetings

Both MRSEC Seminars and IRG Meetings are held at 4 pm in Abelson 229, unless otherwise noted. Find Abelson-Bass-Yalem building on the interactive map.


MRSEC Summer Undergraduate Programs

MRSEC conducts two summer undergraduate programs: Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) and Summer Materials Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SMURF). Details about the programs and links to apply for them are available at Undergraduate Resources and Opportunities.

Deadline for the SMURF is March 1, 2018. Deadline for the 2018 REU closed on February 1, 2018.
