myBrandeis Community Portal

In 2001, myBrandeis was first implemented based on an open source framework. Over the next six years it was further developed and widely adopted by the campus community.

Today, more than a decade after its initial rollout, myBrandeis is no longer supportable. Its relevant functionality has been replaced with existing "best of breed" software. By the end of the 2012-2013 academic year, myBrandeis will be completely retired.

BTime

The university launched a new campus calendar on Oct. 2, 2012 and retired the BTime calendar on Jan. 2, 2013.

Other tools are available to community members who used the workshops and appointment features of BTime. For enrollment or registration forms, please contact Web Communications for Wufoo access. For appointments, Google calendar offers an appointment feature.

Classifieds

As of Oct. 18, 2011, classifieds are listed on FullDorm.com, a website for local college students created by local college students. FullDorm is available to anyone with a Brandeis email address.

To create a classified ad, go to brandeis.FullDorm.com and sign up with your Brandeis email address; the password will be up to you.

Once signed up, you will be able to easily create a classified listing. You'll also be able to see what other Brandeis students -- as well as other FullDorm members from local universities -- have to offer, and check out ride share postings, local retailer discounts and more.

Agents and Landlords: Email support@fulldorm.com for complete instructions on how to post your rental property on the site.

As of December 2011, the Department of Community Living partnered with jumpoffcampus.com to offer off-campus housing listings for the Brandeis community. Postings for the Brandeis community are free.

Landlords: To post a listing, go to http://brandeis.jumpoffcampus.com and follow the links for Landlords. Sign-up and start posting with a valid email address. Contact the Department of Community Living if you have questions about posting an off-campus housing listing.

Club Center

The myBrandeis club center has been replaced with a central listing of clubs that links to each club's page (hosted on Google Sites). Additional club center functionality (funding requests and allocations) will be outsourced to the Student Union Management System (SUMS) created by Village Software.

BBoard/Forums

As of Oct. 18, forums are posted on FullDorm.com, a website for local college students created by local college students. FullDorm is available to anyone with a Brandeis email address.

To create a post, go to brandeis.FullDorm.com and sign up with your Brandeis email address; the password will be up to you.

Once signed up, you will be able to easily create a Campus Forum post.

You'll also be able to see classifieds, off-campus rentals, ride share postings and more from other Brandeis students, as well as other FullDorm members from local universities.

Please post technical support questions at http://go.brandeis.edu/techforum

Interactive Campus Map

The myBrandeis interactive campus map has been replaced by a custom Google map.

TV Info System

myBrandeis currently powers the announcements that appear on various flatscreen TVs located throughout campus. The university investigated options for replacing the system and decided to retire the system without replacement.

Other

There are a few items not on this list because they were moved off of myBrandeis years ago (e.g. Faculty Guide, BrandeisNOW).
