University launches redesigned Web site

Welcome to the new Brandeis University Web site.

Brandeis has seen many changes since the last Web design three years ago. We’ve opened the new Schneider and Heller buildings and broken ground on a new science complex and residence hall development. We’ve set new marks for fundraising and reached new heights in athletics. We’ve celebrated three new Pulitzer Prize winners in the Brandeis family. And we’ve played host to two former U.S. presidents.

Brandeis University is on the move. A new energy is palpable everywhere on campus.

Today, the Office of Communications, in partnership with Library and Technology Services, introduces a new home page and related top-level pages as part of a university-wide Web site redesign. The new look was created to keep pace with the changes and demands of the university while leveraging the ease and flexibility of a new content management system.

To improve the user experience, we’ve added a number of new features, including an enhanced Google search engine, and introduced refreshed content such as new alumni and faculty profiles, a comprehensive listing of distinguished professors and an expanded research section.

Please let me know what you think. We’ll incorporate many of your ideas and suggestions in the coming weeks and months as we bring more and more existing and new sites into the redesign family and content management system.
