Upcoming WSRC show highlights achievements, struggles of female tradeswomen
2008 marks the 30th anniversary of the enactment of federal legislation opening the construction industry to women. The Women's Studies Research Center is recognizing this milestone, while also addressing the work that still lies ahead, in the upcoming mixed-media art exhibition "On Equal Terms." BrandeisNOW talked with the show's artist, and master electrician, Susan Eisenberg, as she worked on some of the pieces in her home studio.
"On Equal Terms" will be at the WSRC's Kniznick Gallery from Oct. 6, 2008 - Jan. 9, 2009. For more information on the show, read the press release.
