EL conference seeking presenters

Undergraduates engaged in experiential learning activities are encouraged to submit applications to present reports on their work at this year's  (EL)2: Experiential Learning, Engaged Learners Symposium, which will be held March 24.

This year's edition of the annual symposium will feature opening remarks by President Fred Lawrence.   The deadline for filing applications to present - which students may complete on-line -- is Feb. 13.

Last year's day-long event showcased original work by more than 70 undergraduates.  Eligible projects include research, creative projects, fieldwork, internships, community-engaged learning and community service

Undergraduate students may choose to present on a panel or via poster. Presenters will have a conference mentor and are also eligible to attend private, Brandeis faculty-led workshops on making effective presentations.

Students are also encouraged to submit creative ideas for the first ever (EL)2 Symposium Poster Contest.  The winning undergraduate designer will be paid $100 for work on the poster and related materials; the winning poster will be placed all over campus.

Students interested in building their design portfolio, enhancing their writing or creative design skills or beefing up their resume should submit poster ideas by 8 a.m. on Feb. 7.
