Sustainability Fund boosted by grant

The Brandeis Sustainability Fund has won a $25,000 grant from National Office Furniture's Gift of Inspiration for Education Environments program.

The sustainability fund was created by vote of the student body two years ago, when students levied fees on themselves to raise money to support campus environmental sustainability projects. Five projects received about $50,000 in funding last year and more projects will receive grants this year.

Janna Cohen-Rosenthal ’03, a member of the Facilities services staff who serves as campus sustainability coordinator, applied for the National Office Furniture gift and says it “is a wonderful boost to the program.”

Representatives of National Office Furniture plan to be on campus Tuesday, Oct. 25, to present the check.
