Text of Provost Steve A.N. Goldstein's message regarding forecasts of an impending blizzard

To the Brandeis community,

Significant snow is forecast for Friday and Saturday. It is still too early to say what, if any, impact the weather may have on campus activities.

We are monitoring the forecast closely and will provide a status update to the campus community before 5 p.m. today.

All weather-related updates will be posted on the Brandeis University homepage http://www.brandeis.edu/

BOSTON/CAMBRIDGE SHUTTLE: Please note that the Friday and Saturday Boston/Cambridge shuttle has been canceled. The Boston/Cambridge shuttle will run on Sunday on its usual schedule.

CAMPUS SHUTTLE: Our campus and Waltham shuttle service will run Friday and Saturday evening with Crystal bus mini vehicles instead of our campus vans.

FURTHER WEATHER UPDATES: Depending on the weather forecast, updates will be posted through the following channels:

(These are the only official sources of Brandeis weather-related information).

In the event of changes to class schedules or activities, we will also notify the community through local radio and television stations and via SMS text message.

Thank you and stay safe!
Steve
