International Business School, Heller School programs praised, reaccredited

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the major business school accrediting body in the United States, has granted the International Business School and the Heller School reaccreditation.

A team of three leading business school deans from AACSB International visited the university in November to assess whether programs at the International Business School and the Heller School should maintain their accreditation.

The accreditation exercise covered all the graduate programs at the business school
and the Heller School’s MBA, including for the first time the business major, which was established in 2010.

The visiting team recommended that accreditation be
granted unconditionally for a further five years. In its report to AACSB, the team commented that “The commitment of faculty and staff to the students [is] extraordinary” and that “the school has very strong course management and student services that are a key aspect of their
‘high touch’ model.” The team also noted that they encountered numerous
examples of the continuous improvement of program offerings and services for students during their visit.
