What's New

Tuition Due Dates

Fall tuition charges are due in full by August 14, 2009.

Spring tuition charges are due in full by January 8, 2010.

Academic Year 2009-2010 Billing Update

The 2009-2010 billing cycle will consist of only one initial paper bill prior to the start of each semester. Subsequent reminders will be issued via email to students' Brandeis email accounts and Sage Proxy Access email addresses. If you have not already done so, we strongly encourage you to register the primary person(s) responsible for paying your bill for Sage Proxy Access. A Sage Proxy Access account lets whomever you register have direct access to your Sage Student Account Summary page, from which they can link to our TMS Payment Gateway where they can contract for a monthly payment plan, pay directly by credit card (user paid fee), or direct withdrawal from a checking or savings account (no user fee). You may create a Sage Proxy Access account at https://sage.brandeis.edu using the following path: Home > SA Self Service > Student Services and select "Add or Delete Proxy" under Student Account.

Late Fees
Balances unpaid by the due date are subject to registration hold and a late fee. The amount of the late fee will be $100 or 2% of the outstanding balance, whichever is greater.

Sage Proxy Access

The Office of Student Financial Services would like to make you aware of a
new function available through Sage Self Service.   We are happy to announce
you can now grant parents, or other trusted third parties, access to view
your Student Account through Sage Proxy Access.

A Sage Proxy will have access to your student account summary and detail
screens, and be able to make a payment or sign-up for a payment plan by
selecting the "Make a Payment" button at the bottom of your account detail
page.    Sage Proxy Access to your student account is controlled by you. You
may add or delete people as you wish. Brandeis University assumes that we
may speak to anyone to whom you have granted access to your student account.

You may add or delete a Sage Proxy at https://sage.brandeis.edu using the
following path:  Home > SA Self Service > Personal Portfolio > Home >

University Deposit
Beginning Fall 2007, all Undergraduate students in the Class of 2011 and beyond will be required to pay a $500 University Deposit. The University Deposit is not deducted from the first semester's charges. The University Deposit will be held in reserve for possible future punitive charges posted to a student's account, (i.e. unpaid parking fines, unpaid library fines, residence hall damage, returned check fees, etc.). The Statement of Account mailed and/or the Student Account Update emailed by Student Financial Services will reflect any transactions charged and paid for by the University Deposit. At the start of each academic year, the deposit will be replenished to the original amount. Any amount used to pay the prior year's punitive charges will appear on the Fall semester bill and will be due by the published Fall due date. When the student graduates or withdraws from the University, any unused portion of the deposit will be refunded to the student. If a student decides not to enroll at Brandeis University, the deposit will be forfeited.

Access your Student Account and check your balance online.

Dewar Tuition Refund Plan

The Dewar Tuition Refund Plan dramatically enhances the Brandeis refund policy by providing more generous tuition refunds throughout the entire term. If a student becomes hurt or ill, and is unable to complete the term, the Tuition Refund Plan will alleviate, if not eliminate, any financial loss. The Plan will return the student's tuition and allow him or her to return to college when a term must be repeated. It will provide funds which can reduce a student's loan obligations under government or private loan programs. If a student withdraws from classes, this Plan will return 75% of the student's insured term tuition and fees. For more information about this plan, please go to www.collegerefund.com and select Brandeis University from the drop down menu. To participate in this program, you must complete a Dewar Tuition Refund Plan application.

Waive or Sign Up for Health Insurance

The Health Insurance Reporting and Selection process may now be completed online. Please visit SAGE SA Self Service to report (waive) or select coverage for the upcoming 2007-08 academic year by the end of this spring term. Your prompt attention to this matter will avoid any unnecessary premiums on your fall bill. In accordance with Massachusetts law, students are required to either purchase insurance or to certify that they have comparable coverage each academic year. If you have any questions regarding the Health Insurance Reporting and Selection process, please contact the Brandeis University Health Center at (781) 736-3677.
