On behalf of the Department of Orientation, welcome to Brandeis! We are delighted that you have chosen to attend Brandeis University and we are excited for your arrival.
The department is working hard to plan a comprehensive program that meets your needs, both academically and socially. We are developing a schedule of events that will excite you and help you in your transition to Brandeis and the college environment. The events will include participation of faculty, staff and student volunteers, and will feature entertainers and special guest lecturers.
Our mission is to get you excited about Brandeis and acclimate you to your new campus. There is a wide variety of support available to you as a student. Orientation is designed to familiarize you with Brandeis and make you comfortable asking for help from this network of support. We hope that Orientation will mark the beginning of your journey toward achieving your goals both during and after your time at Brandeis.
If you are a member of the Midyear Class of 2013: In November, you will receive the Orientation Pre-Arrival Guide in preparation for the Midyear Orientation Program in January. Created by students for students, this publication contains important information about the Orientation program, including information on academic life and departments, the myriad of student clubs and organizations at Brandeis, and most importantly, what to bring when you move in! The Midyear Orientation Program will take place Friday, January 15, 2010 through Monday, January 18, 2010. For more information, see Midyear Students.
Any students wishing to order linens, microfridges and other items before Orientation begins can do so through the Student Service Bureau.
If you have questions regarding Orientation or Brandeis in general, please do not hesitate to email orientation@brandeis.edu or call (781) 736-5074.
