Volunteer Fest 2016

Volunteer Fest

Get ready to take part in one of a variety of community service projects taking place in the greater Waltham community! Community service is engraved into Brandeis' core, and the Departments of Orientation and Community Service are partnering to provide a full day of service for incoming students.

For this year’s Volunteer Fest we will be volunteering at four different sites across two different days! On Friday, August 26,  volunteers are able to engage with the community at either Waltham Fields Community Farm or The Leland Home and on Saturday, August 27, volunteers will participate in projects at Cradles to Crayons or More than Words (Please be advised that classes are in session on Friday).

Projects will be followed by engaging dialogue, reflection, food and freebies!

Participants will partner with upperclass students, faculty and staff to address community needs such as environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, poverty and education.
