Parent Ambassadors

Brandeis Parent Ambassadors serve as well-informed representatives of the University who share their time and resources to foster better communication among the University, the parents of our students and prospective families. Ambassadors are Brandeis advocates who offer a channel for parents to learn about and provide input into University programs and services.

Parent Ambassadors are volunteers and are encouraged to be honest in their private conversations with other parents and prospective parents.  At the same time, they must realize that Brandeis is entrusting them to represent the University in the best possible light.  Parent Ambassadors should strive to emphasize the positive aspects of their own and their children’s experiences, act professionally and exude enthusiasm for the University.

Rather than solve specific problems, the role of Brandeis Parent Ambassadors is to act as advisors and friends, and to serve as a general resource for those who contact them. Staff members within the Brandeis Parents Program, the International Students and Scholars Office and the Brandeis Admissions Office are happy to answer any questions that may arise and to guide parent queries to the appropriate Brandeis staff or faculty.

This program is still being developed. If you are interested in becoming a Brandeis Parent Ambassador, please contact Parents Program Director Julie Smith-Bartoloni ’90
