Peter Gould
Peter Gould received all his degrees (BA, MA, PhD) from Brandeis. Peter taught Physical Comedy and Clown Theory to undergraduate and graduate classes while working on his doctorate: a study of the life and work of Victor Jara, the singer-songwriter tortured and killed in the Chilean fascist coup of 1973. Peter teaches leadership skills through youth theatre; he is the founder/director of a network of Shakespeare camps around Vermont. His award-winning drama, "A Peasant of El Salvador," has been performed on every continent; its purpose is to clarify the major political and economic issues behind the Latin American violent conflicts of the late 20th century. Peter has taught Spanish at Marlboro College and SIT, and also developed courses in Arts for Social Change at Brattleboro High School and the SIT Graduate Institute.
