Epistemology Reading Group
The Graduate Student Epistemology Reading Group meets every Monday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Graduate Student Lounge, Rabb 336. Each semester, members read about and discuss an influential work or a recent trend in epistemology, with a new topic chosen each semester. Recent topics have included a series of influential or recent papers in an important subfield, and deeper dives into the oeuvre of particular epistemologists.
The topic for fall 2018 is Ernest Sosa’s John Locke Lectures, reprinted as "A Virtue Epistemology: Apt Belief and Reflective Knowledge," and "Reflective Knowledge: Apt Belief and Reflective Knowledge."
