The Brandeis Unites Us Campaign
Dear Member of the Brandeis Community,
One of the founding principles of Brandeis University is social action. Each year, you are invited to participate in one special form of social action by taking part in the annual Brandeis Unites Us Campaign. This annual fundraising effort is designed to provide you with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate. As in prior years, you may make a gift to Community Works, United Way or both. There is also an option for those who want to support our community by giving back to Brandeis.
Both the United Way and Community Works are committed to providing a steady stream of funding to organizations working to build a world in which people have what they need and share what they have, by supporting a variety of efforts that enrich their communities in which they live. The organizations are diverse in constituency, geography, mission and approach, but they share in the commitment to valuing people and appreciating each individual’s contribution. From this practice comes the commitment to build leadership, and leaders are the glue that holds communities together. Members of our Brandeis University community have a history of generous giving to support these vital efforts.
The Campaign will be launched at the Human Resources Benefits Fair in the Sherman Function Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 2, followed by the distribution of information and pledge cards. Please take a few minutes to read the information and to decide how you would like your donation to be used. Return your completed pledge form in the envelope provided by Friday, Nov. 11.
I encourage you to join with me in helping to make this the most successful campaign yet. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Best regards,
Fred
