Message from President Fred Lawrence on India Visit

Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,

I recently returned from India, where I led a Brandeis delegation of faculty and administrators on a mission to explore opportunities for collaborations with leading institutions, strengthen our alumni connections, meet current and prospective students and their families, and raise the Brandeis profile in the world’s largest democracy.

I had high expectations for the trip and it is a pleasure to say that we exceeded them. Below are links to stories of the trip that were posted on BrandeisNOW and my blog entries from India. These will give you a real sense of our journey, how we engaged with India, and what we accomplished.

There is much to consider as we think back upon our successful visits to New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, and think ahead to the role the university will play in the world.
