Hurricane Sandy aftermath
Nov. 6, 2012
Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,
With each passing day we are struck by the severity of the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the increasing challenges so many individuals and families face in New York, New Jersey and other states most affected. I know that everyone in the Brandeis community joins me in applauding the efforts of the tens of thousands of people who so selflessly are helping provide aid and assistance to the victims of the storm. Their work is making a difference, and I encourage those of you who wish to contribute to the effort to give through the Red Cross or the organization of your choice.
We understand that Hurricane Sandy's effects will be felt for months and years to come. On behalf of the entire Brandeis community, I offer my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to everyone who is suffering in its aftermath.
Sincerely,
Fred Lawrence
