Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,

I am pleased to announce that we have started the search process for a new provost among internal candidates at the university. Carol Osler, professor of economics, has graciously agreed to chair the search advisory committee.

The other members of the committee are:

  • Andrew Flagel, senior vice president for students and enrollment and senior lecturer
  • Tom Pochapsky, professor of chemistry and biochemistry
  • Michael Sandel ’75, Brandeis trustee and the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University
  • Flora Wang ’15, student
  • Chad Williams, chair and associate professor, African & Afro-American studies
  • Aida Wong, associate professor of fine arts

More detailed information about the search process will be posted in the next few days on the provost search website, which we are currently constructing.

Sincerely,

Fred Lawrence
