Tuition Fees

The estimated cost of attendance for 2008-09 for the full 16 months of the Coexistence and Conflict program will be approximately $36,226. Students should expect to spend roughly an additional $15,000 on living expenses, educational materials, transportation, and health insurance. Students who take longer than 16 months to complete the program may be subject to continutation fees. Continuation fees will be approximately $2,000 per semester.

As a point of reference, please see the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences' estimated cost of attendance for 2008-09 (pdf).

Financial Aid

Brandeis offers a limited number of need-based partial tuition scholarships to students in the Coexistence and Conflict Master's Program. Scholarships provide tuition remission: they do not include travel and other expenses. Due to the volume of applications for financial aid, we can not fully fund students to join the Master's Program. Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid as early as possible, as it increases the your chances of receiving financial aid. Students who apply late, or do not receive enough financial aid may defer their admission for up to two (2) years. Please be advised that when deferring admission, you must reapply for financial aid for the year you intend to join the program.

Funding Sources

It is strongly recommended that students in need of financial support also pursue a number of other funding options in addition to Brandeis financial aid. There are many funding sources available to international and American students for graduate study. Applying for financial assistance from these sources can be a time consuming process. Students should start this process as early as possible and access multiple sources simultaneously to increase their chances of success. Students who do can not cover their full tuition costs may defer their admission for up to two (2) years, however, you must reapply for Brandeis financial aid at that time. Please see below for a list of other funding sources.
