MAT Public Elementary Induction Network
The Brandeis Public Elementary MAT provides ongoing induction support for those alumni whose initial teaching positions are in Greater Boston and, to the extent that resources permit, to those who teach farther afield. This support is designed to enhance professional development and growth and includes classroom visits from faculty, one-on-one consultations and several group meetings scheduled throughout the academic year.
We view induction as a convivial process in which professional expertise is gained through ongoing engagement with a community of practitioners willing to delve whole-heartedly into the details of teaching and learning.

Structure of Induction Meetings
Dinner will be provided at each of these meetings. During this meal you will be invited to socialize and catch up with fellow participants. Time will also be set aside to share any “burning issues” that have come up in your respective classrooms. After this portion of the meeting, we will break into discussion groups in order to tackle the specific topic selected for the night.
You can earn 1 PDP per clock hour for your participation.
