Cynthia Davis

 Assistant Professor of Education

Ms. Davis is currently the data manager for the Massachusetts Healthy Families Evaluation (MHFE), a large-scale mixed-methods experimental evaluation of home visiting program for teenage parents.  Her research with MHFE has examined resilient functioning in young mothers and fathers, as well as contextual influences on parent-child relationships, repeat birth trajectories and child abuse and neglect.  She previously served as a research assistant to Professor Margie E. Lachman in the Lifespan Developmental Psychology laboratory at Brandeis University, and was responsible for the administration of cognitive assessments on a study investigating memory, control beliefs and aging.  Ms. Davis is currently a member of and active participant in the biannual conferences for the Society for Research on Child Development and the Society for Research in Adolescence.
