Prior teaching/professional experience:
- 10 years at Framingham High School as a history teacher and department head
- JET Program - Japan: Taught English in a public Japanese middle school for 1 year
- Chestnut Middle School in Springfield, MA: taught 7th grade world geography for 1 year
College/Education:
- B/A in political science and history from Marquette University
- M.Ed. in social studies education from UMASS - Amherst
- Completed post-graduate certificate program at the National University of Ireland in Gelway
- 50 graduate credit hours beyond a masters degree in history and educational administration coursework
Hometown:
Framinham, Mass. (but I lived in many places including Detroit, Long Beach, CA, Milwaukee, and Japan
Hobbies/Interests:
- Spending time with my husband and our two girls
- Reading fiction, newspapers, and news-magazines
- Travel, both in the US and abroad
- Animal rights issues: Adopt pets from a shelter, don't buy from a breeder!
Favorite time period/era/topic to learn about and to teach:
- American government and the Constitution
- Political philosophy and international relations

I truly love working with a diverse student body and a motivated and committed staff.
