Pedagogy of the Imagination: Second annual interdisciplinary symposium - Wed., April 1, 2009, 6:30 - 8:00, Rose Art Museum
Dirck Roosevelt (Director, MAT) and Robin Dash (artist/educator) delivered a talk entitled "'First there's Water': Material Affordances for Pausing, Noticing, Imagining, and Taking Risks." MAT alumnus and current 5th grade teacher (Cambridge, MA) Efrat Kussell spoke about the different ways in which a group of fifth and sixth grade students conceived of the imagination. Cultural Production student Becky Lennon spoke about the themes of journey in Grimm's Fairy Tales. Many other interesting speakers as well.. See the complete program
