Undergraduate Programs

For undergraduates, the Education Program offers two tracks:

Education Studies is designed for students interested in the social, historical, and cultural contexts of education. It enables students to investigate educational history and policy and the place of schooling in families and society from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.

The Teacher Education minor leads to initial licensure at the preschool, elementary or secondary school level. It includes the study of children and youth, school and society, and subject-specific pedagogy. Coursework on campus is integrated with field experiences in area schools, culminating in a semester of supervised student teaching.
