Here is an audio recording of our recent information session on linguistics-related internships and summer work.

Linguistics Undergraduate Advising

For the Fall 2015 semester, students can see either Professor Keith Plaster (office: Volen 256) or Professor Lotus Goldberg (office: Volen 134) for undergraduate linguistics advising—including declaring majors and minors and to obtain study abroad advising or signatures. However, students are encouraged to see Prof. Plaster when possible.

(One exception to this is for students coming for detailed advising about the computational linguistics curriculum or M.A. program, who should especially see Prof. Goldberg.)

Advising Office Hours for Fall 2015:

  • Prof. Plaster—Wednesdays 3-4pm [Undergrad linguistics advising ONLY]
  • Prof. Goldberg—Thursdays 3-4pm [Undergrad linguistics advising + both of her courses; Priority for advising]

'Priority for advising' means that students coming for help with a course will be seen only after those who come for advising have been seen. (Note that this may mean that students coming for a course end up not being seen during the session.)
