Here is an audio recording of our recent information session on linguistics-related internships and summer work.

Linguistics Undergraduate Advising

For the Spring 2015 semester, students can see either Professor Sophia Malamud or Professor Lotus Goldberg for undergraduate linguistics advising—including declaring majors and minors and to obtain study abroad advising or signatures. However, students are encouraged to see Prof. Malamud when possible. (One exception to this is for students coming for detailed advising about the computational linguistics curriculum or M.A. program, who may want to see Prof. Goldberg.)

Advising Office Hours for Spring 2015:

  • Malamud—Mondays 3-4pm [Advising + Semantics course; Priority for advising]
  • Malamud—Tuesdays 12-1pm [Advising only, by appointment – email her if you'd like to come]
  • Malamud—Thursdays 12-1pm [Advising + Semantics course]
  • Goldberg—Fridays 12-1pm [Advising + both of her courses; Priority for advising]

'Priority for advising' means that students coming for help with a course will be seen only after those who come for advising have been seen. (Note that this may mean that students coming for a course end up not being seen during the session.)
