Track One: Advanced Biology Coursework

This track allows students to incorporate advanced biology electives beyond biochemistry. 

Fall Year One
Spring Year One

General Chemistry I (11a) + General Chemistry lab (18a) (6 credits)

General Chemistry II (11b) + General Chemistry lab (18b) (6 credits)

Preparation for the 2015 MCAT will require coursework in Psychology and Sociology.  In order to prepare, and depending on your undergraduate record, you may choose courses such as: Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 1a) or Introduction to Sociology (SOC 1a)

Genetics & Molecular Biology (Biol 22a) + General Biology Lab (Biol 18a) (8 credits)

Clinical Seminar (PPMED 201a-part one) (2 credits)

Clinical Seminar (PPMED 201a-part two) (2 credits)

Option: Health: Science, Society & Policy (HSSP): American Health Care (HS 104B) (4 credits)

Option: Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP): Racial/Ethnic and Gender Inequalities in Health and Health Care (HSSP 114b) or another course (4 credits)

MCAT Prep (Some students choose to take a prep course which is offered on campus beginning in November and February, though the course is not an official part of the post-bac premedical program.)
