How does it work?
The QB program leverages the strengths of existing Ph.D. programs at Brandeis by bringing graduate students from these programs in a specialized curriculum and in co-curricular activities that are both designed to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by training in multi-disciplinary groups. A student admitted to graduate study in one of the six participating Ph.D. programs, who chooses the QB track will receive a Ph.D. degree in their chosen discipline “with an additional specialization in Quantitative Biology”. This approach provides the students with modern discipline-bridging training. At the same time, the student earns a Ph.D. credential in a recognized traditional discipline, a credential that has proven value on the job market.
