About Reaccreditation

Every 10 years, we are assessed for re-accreditation by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Our last review was successful and identified important university goals and challenges that have subsequently guided institutional change.

NECHE provides standards, nine in all, that act as guidelines for the information needed for re-accreditation. These nine standards guide our preparation of a self-study document.

Over the course of 18 months, this self-study document is generally produced by faculty and administrators with feedback from the entire community. It is formally submitted to the Commission before their Visiting Team comes to campus.

The team then drafts a comprehensive report, after which NECHE makes the decision regarding reaccreditation.
