CMS Multi-day Downtime

The following email was sent to CMS editors on Jan. 6, 2017:

The CMS will be offline and unavailable from 11:55 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, to noon, Wednesday, Jan 18. This downtime is necessary to make CMS enhancements that are critical to the website redesign project. We will not be able to migrate zeta sites to the new templates until these system enhancements are complete.

The public web presence will be visible during this time and submission forms on your site will continue to operate as usual, but you will not be able to make changes to your site.

What does this mean for you?
You will not be able to log in to the CMS to edit or publish pages from 11:55 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, until noon, Wednesday, Jan 18.

Will anything change after the downtime?
For editors of sites in the “zeta” folder, there will be one less click required to create new CMS files. Zeta editors will receive more information about this change during the downtime. Nothing will change for editors of non-zeta sites.

What can you do to prepare?
Please publish all necessary website changes before the downtime begins at 11:55 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9.

We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause and thank you for your patience.

Thank you,
The Brandeis Web Team
