1997-98 University Bulletin Entry for:

Independent Concentrations

In choosing a concentration, a student may propose a program that combines academic work in several departments. The proposal requires the support of at least two departments and one member of each supporting department who will agree to serve on the student's Concentration Committee. This program shall be limited to a total of about 30 students in the College of Arts and Sciences. An independent concentration must be declared before the end of the student's junior year.

Students who wish to develop a proposal for an independent concentration should consult the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs.
