Diploma Holds

Any student with outstanding obligations to Brandeis University will not receive their official diploma until those obligations have been met. For information on how to resolve a financial hold, please contact the Office of Student Financial Services.

For additional information on commencement, please visit the Commencement website.

If You Don't Receive Your Diploma at Commencement

If you did not receive your diploma commencement weekend, then you most likely fall into one of the categories below.

  • You graduated in August or February, and your diploma was already mailed to you.
  • You have a hold on your record, and your diploma cannot be released until you resolve the hold.
  • The Latin honors printed on your diploma (cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude) have changed, and your diploma needs to be reordered to reflect that change. Diploma reorders will be mailed directly to your degree address. It can take up to six weeks to receive your diploma by mail, and an email will be sent to your Brandeis email address when the diploma ships.
