Interpreting Your Score
If you scored 1 to 5 correct answers,
you should consider starting your study of Spanish at Brandeis with HISP 10.
If you had 6 to 15 correct answers,
consider enrolling in HISP 20.
With 16 to 31 correct answers,
you're a good candidate for a 30-level Spanish language course (HISP 32 or 34).
Students who score 26 or higher on this exam should consider enrolling in HISP 104. You will fulfill your language requirement once you have completed the HISP 104 course with a passing letter grade. A score of 26 or higher on the placement exam does not entitle you to an exemption from the language requirement.
Finally, if you answered every question correctly,
contact the Director of Language Programs, Professor Hollie Harder. In the meantime, you should sign up for a 30-level course to secure your place in the section you want, just in case you need this course to fulfill the language requirement.
