Drawn from the Rose's impressive permanent collection, “Regarding Painting” invites visitors to look closely--to revel in the physical properties of paint, consider how the form of a painting intersects with its content, and gain access to artists' processes and ideas. Spanning the last hundred years, the exhibition will bring to light many works long in storage as well as feature a selection of the collection's most renowned paintings.
Regarding Painting features work by Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Barry McGee, and Ana Mendieta, among others.
“Regarding Painting” was curated by The Rose Art Museum’s Director of Academic Programs, Dabney Hailey.
