Summer Registration Advising
Before you register for classes during the summer prior to your arrival to Brandeis, you will be contacted for summer registration advising. A faculty member, administrator or peer advisor will help guide you through the process of choosing courses and planning your schedule for the fall semester.
Your Class Advisor
PJ Dickson, in the Office of Academic Services, is the first year class advisor. He is available for advising appointments and consultation during the spring and summer prior to your arrival on campus, as well as throughout the academic year, by calling (781) 736-3470 or emailing him.
Academic Advisors/Mentors
Academic Advisors/Mentors are faculty members or administrators with whom you can consult about academic and personal concerns; someone who will guide you and support your efforts to design a curriculum. You were notified of your academic advisor/mentor via email over the summer. You will have the opportunity to meet with your advisor/mentor in person during orientation.
If you are unclear about who your academic advisor is, please contact the Office of Academic Services at x63470 for further information.
Roosevelt Fellows
Roosevelt Fellows are upperclass peer mentors available specifically for first year students. They can answer acadmic questions with a trained peer perspective. Each incoming student was assigned a Roosevelt Fellow during the summer and notified by email. Before you arrive on campus, you can contact your fellow at the email address provided. If you are unclear about who your academic advisor is, please contact the Office of Academic Services at x63470 for further information. During the academic year, the Roosevelt Fellows also hold academic consultation office hours in the Office of Academic Services and in residence halls.
