Troubleshooting: Enrollment Errors
Check this list for the error that you received when you clicked on the "Errors Found" link from the add, drop, or swap results page, and read our suggestions for resolving the problem. Locate the message text on the "Enrollment Request Messages" page. The second # (in red) within the parentheses is the Error message # to search for.

| N/A | Enrollment Activity is Not Allowed for this Term as Your Status is Cancelled or Withdrawn | Enrollment activity is not allowed for this term as your status is Cancelled or Withdrawn. |
| 1 | Not Eligible to Enroll for Term | You have not been activated to enroll for this term. Verify that you are attempting to enroll for the correct term (you may need to check that your user preferences are set to the correct term). If you are still having a problem, please contact the Office of the University Registrar for assistance. |
| 5 | Already Enrolled in Class, Add Not Processed | Your enrollment request was not processed because you are already in this class. |
| 7 | Not Enrolled, Class #### is Full | The class you are trying to enroll in is full or has been closed because the enrollment capacity has been met. Choose another class or section, or consult with the department that owns that class. |
| 11 | Invalid Value -- Press the Prompt Button or Hyperlink for a List of Valid Values | The value entered into the field is not a valid value. Remove the value from the field and press the Lookup Icon (Magnifying Glass) to search for an appropriate value. |
| 13 | Unable to Drop class, Will Fall Below Required Minimum Units for Enrollment | Once you have enrolled in 12 units, you may not drop below this level without permission. If you still are having difficulty, or if you really do want to withdraw from the term, please contact the Office of the University Registrar. |
| 17 | Time Scheduling Conflict for Class #### and ####, Not Enrolled | You have tried to enroll in a class that meets at the same time, or part of the same time, as a class that you are already enrolled in. Consequently this add transaction wasn't successful. You can drop the first class and enroll in the second class, or if you think the class is incorrectly scheduled, contact the Office of the University Registrar. Please note that students need written permission from the instructors or departments of both classes to take two classes that meet at overlapping times, and that such an add request must be completed at the Registrar's Office. Please see the Time Conflict form on the Office of the University Registrar website. |
| 29 | Class #### Not Waitlisted, Waitlist is Full | The waitlist for this class has reached its capacity. Choose another class or section, or consult with the Office of the University Registrar to be placed on the waitlist. |
| 30 | Maximum Term Unit Load Exceeded | Your transaction was not processed. Adding this class would put you over the limit of the number of units you are allowed to take for this term. Contact the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs about petitioning for on overload. If you are adding and dropping classes and get this error, *drop* a class before you add to keep below your term unit limit, or use the swap function. |
| 32 | Enrollment is Not Allowed for this Class: It is Outside the Career of Study | Your add transaction was not processed. In some cases, students in one career are not allowed to take classes offered in another career. For example, Undergraduate students cannot take Graduate courses without permission. |
| 34 | Already Enrolled in the 'To' Class of the Swap Transaction, Swap Not Processed | You are already enrolled in the 'To' class of the swap transaction. The swap transaction was not processed. Make sure the 'to' and 'from' fields are filled out correctly. |
| 35 | Swap Not Processed, 'To' Class #### is Full | The swap transaction was not processed. The 'To' class of the swap transaction is full. Try a different class. |
| 38 | Consent Necessary to Enroll in Class, Add Not Processed | Consent/Permission is needed to enroll in the class. See the department and/or instructor and if appropriate they will give you a permission number which enables you to enroll in the class. To enter a permission number, close this error message and click on the Subject / Catalog # hyperlink. This will open the Class Enrollment Options page where the permission number may be entered. Enter the number and re-submit the enrollment request. |
| 39 | Permission Number Entered Is Not Valid | The permission number used is invalid. Reasons for this are: trying to use it on the wrong class; the permission number has expired; the number has already been used (numbers can only be used once). See the department or instructor that gave you the permission number to get this corrected. |
| 45 | Enrollment Drop Date is Past Drop With Penalty Date | The enrollment drop was processed and a notation has been made on your transcript. |
| 50 | Class Number #### Not in Active Status Cannot Enroll | The add transaction was not processed. The class to be added is not in 'ACTIVE' status for enrollment. Reasons for this include the class being cancelled or not available for registration at this time. |
| 71 | Invalid Access to Drop Transaction | This error normally occurs if you try to drop a class after the last day to drop. Your enrollment security does not allow you to drop a class after the last day to drop. If you think you should have been able to drop the class, please contact the Office of the University Registrar. |
| 72 | Invalid Access to Drop With Permission Transaction | You have attempted to drop a class after the drop deadline. Your enrollment security does not allow you to drop a class after the last day to drop. If you think you should have been able to drop the class, please contact the Office of the University Registrar. |
| 80 | Wait List Period Has Ended | You have attempted to wait list a class after the last day to waitlist. Your enrollment security does not allow you to waitlist a class after the first day of classes. If you think you should be on the waitlist please contact the Office of the University Registrar. |
| 84 | Unit Limit Exceeded For Appointment Period | Your add request was rejected because it would have put you over the unit load limit for this enrollment appointment. |
| 87 | Registration Hold on record, Enrollment not processed. | There is a registration hold on your record preventing enrollments from being processed. The hold must be removed by the appropriate office before enrollments can take place. To view your Hold click on SA Self Service>Personal Portfolio>Home>Personal Portfolio>Holds. |
| 95 | Enroll Add Period Has Ended, Unable to Process Transaction | The enrollment add and enrollment add with permission deadline has ended. You cannot add any more classes for this term. See the Office of the Univeristy Registrar for further assistance. |
| 133 | Permission to enroll in this class is required | Consent/Permission is needed to enroll in the class. The class falls outside the career of study. Refer to the University Bulletin for restrictions regarding the taking of classes outside your career of study or contact the Office of the University Registrar. |
| 137 | Withdrawn from Term - Changes are not allowed | Once a student has withdrawn from a term, changes are not allowed through sage. Contact the Office of the University Registrar for assistance. |
| 139 | Enrollment Status is Cancelled for Term - No Enrollment Activity Allowed | Once a student has been cancelled for a term, no enrollment activity is allowed through sage. Contact the Office of the University Registrar for assistance. |
| 141 | Please Refer to the Class Attributes for General University Requirement Information | The class you have enrolled into is associated with a General University Requirement and will satisify that requirement upon successful completion. |
| 145 | Duplicate Add Transaction, Transaction Not Processed | The add transaction is identical to a prior transaction within this enrollment request. The transaction was ignored. |
| 146 | Multiple Enrollment Not Allowed for Course, Add Not Processed | Multiple enrollment for this course is not allowed. The transaction was not processed. Double-check your schedule to ensure that you are enrolled in all of your classes. |
| 154 | Class #### is Closed. Student Placed on Wait List | The class you are trying to enroll in is full or has been closed because the enrollment capacity has been met. You are now on the Unaccommodated Demand List/Waitlist. |
| 164 | Already Waitlisted and Class #### is Full | You are already on the waitlist for this class. The class is closed and has reached enrollment capacity. Please select another class or contact the Contact the Office of the University Registrar for assistance. |
| 168 | Class ####, in the X Session Can Not be Added, Dropped, Updates at this Time | Enrollment activity for this Class and/or Session is not allowed at this time. Contact the Office of the University Registrar for assistance. |
| 170 | Swapping non-enrollment sections requires a value in Related 1 field | The enrollment engine detects that the Swap To and Swap From are the same class. The Swap To must be a different class and section. |
