Registering for classes
You use the sage registration functions to:
- Enroll in and add classes
- Drop classes
- Swap classes
From its pages you can also view your course schedule.

Enrolling and Adding Classes
- Go to your Student Services page.
- Click Academics to go to your Academics page.
- Under Enrollment click Enroll in a Class.

Sage displays the Select Enrollment Term page with links to any terms you are eligible to view or modify.
- Click on the term in which you want to enroll.

If you are enrolled in classes, sage displays your schedule. If you are not enrolled in any classes, sage displays a blank schedule page.
- Click Add Classes to enroll or add new classes.

Sage displays the Add Classes page.
- In a blank Class Nbr field enter the number of the class in which you want to enroll. If you do not know the class number, you can
- Click View Current Enrollment Figures to see if classes you are interested in are full.
- Click the lookup icon
beside the field to look up classes.
Note: If you lookup a class number, sage displays the Advanced Class Search page. For more information about advanced class searches see the Class Schedule Quick Start.
- To enroll in more than one class, enter the class numbers in other blank Class Nbr fields. You can use the lookup icon
for each subsequent class.

Click in the Ok to waitlist? box if you know a class is full and want to be wait listed.
Note: if you select Ok to waitlist? and the class is not full, you will be enrolled in the class.
- When you have entered all the classes you want to enroll in, click Submit.

Sage displays the classes you selected with their Add Status, indicating whether the enrollment was successful. Be sure to check that all your classes were added successfully.
If a class was not added successfully, the Add Status column displays an Errors found link. Click on it to see an explanation.
Errors
When you click on the Errors found link, sage displays the Enrollment Request Messages page with information about the error you encountered.
Note the information, then click Cancel to return to the Add Classes page.
For more information about enrollment errors you can click Trouble Shooting Enrollment Errors above the message.
If you are able to resolve the error, for example by getting consent for a class that requires it, click Submit again to enroll in the class.
If you cannot resolve the error, as, for example, with a time conflict, click Delete to remove the row from the page.
- When you have enrolled in your classes and dealt with any errors, you can click View My Schedule to view and then print your schedule. You can also click to:
Dropping Classes
- Go to your Student Services page.
- Click Academics to go to your Academics page.
- Under Enrollment click Enroll in a Class.

Sage displays the Select Enrollment Term page with links to any terms that you are eligible to view or modify.
- Click on the term in which you want to drop a class.

Sage displays your schedule.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Drop/Update Classes.

Sage displays the Drop/Update Classes page. This page lists all your currently enrolled classes.
- In the drop-down menu beside any classes you wish to drop, select Drop, then click Submit.

If there are no errors, sage displays the list with Drop in the Action column and Success in the Update Status column.
Errors
If there are errors, sage displays Errors found in the Update Status column. The Errors found message links to an explanation.
Click on that link to see this information.
Sage displays the Drop/Update Request Messages page with information about the error you encountered.
Note the information, then click Cancel to return to the Add Classes page.

- When you have dropped classes and dealt with any errors, you can click View My Schedule to view and then print your schedule. You can also click to:
Swapping Classes
- Go to your Student Services page.
- Click Academics to go to your academics page.
- Under Enrollment click Enroll in a Class.

Sage displays the Select Enrollment Term page with links to any terms that you are eligible to view or modify.
- Click on the term in which you want to swap classes.

Sage displays your schedule.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Swap Classes.

Sage displays the Swap Classes page with all your enrolled classes.
- Enter the number of the class you want to swap into in the Swap To Class Nbr field beside the class you want to swap out of. (The class number is the four-digit class-section identifier.) If you do not know the class number, you can:
- Click View Current Enrollment Figures to see if classes you are interested in are full.
- Click the lookup icon
beside the field to look up classes.
Note: If you lookup a class number, sage displays the Advanced Class Search page. For more information about advanced class searches see the Class Schedule Quick Start.
- To swap more than one class, enter the class numbers in other blank Swap To Class Nbr fields. You can use the lookup icon
for each subsequent class.
- When you have entered numbers for all classes you want to swap into, click Submit.
- If there are no errors, sage displays the Swap Classes page with Dropped in the Enrollment Status column and Success in the Swap Status column.
- If the swap did not succeed, the Swap Status column displays Errors found.
Errors
If there are errors, sage displays Errors found in the Update Status column. The Errors found message links to an explanation.

Click on that link to see this information.
Sage displays the Enrollment Request Messages page with information about the error you encountered.
Note the information, then click Cancel to return to the Swap Classes page.

If you are able to resolve the error, for example by getting consent for a class that requires it, click Submit again to enroll in the class.
If you cannot resolve the error, as, for example, with a time conflict, sage will ignore the swap request and the error will disappear when you exit this page.
- When you have swapped classes and dealt with any errors, you can click View My Schedule to view and then print your schedule. You can also click to:
- Add a class,
- Drop or update classes,
- Sign out.
The Lookup Function 
Many fields in sage display a lookup icon alongside. These allow you to lookup a list of all appropriate values for that field.
To lookup values for a field:
- Leave the field blank and click the lookup icon
. The appropriate lookup page displays. - You can leave the lookup page fields blank or enter values to narrow the search. For example, to search for all subjects that start with S, type S in the Subject field.
- Click Lookup at the bottom of the page. Sage displays all appropriate values.
- Scroll down the list if necessary to locate your value. Click on any link in the line containing it. Sage displays the original page with the field filled in.
Viewing Enrollment Figures
When you click View Current Enrollment Figures on the Add Classes page, sage opens a new window showing the Class Enrollment Figures page.
Enter a term and subject area. You can use the lookup icon
to lookup terms or subject areas.
When you have entered a term and subject area, click Search/Refresh.
Sage generates a Class Enrollment Figures list based on the term and subject area you specified. This list includes class number, subject, catalog number, section, title, enrollment limit, number enrolled, number wait listed, primary instructor, and status.
If you find a class to enroll in, note the class number (from the first column). You can close this window, return to your Add Classes page in its window, and enter the class number.
