Faculty planning community-engaged learning courses should consider recruiting an undergraduate Community-Engaged Fellow to serve as special teaching assistant to the class. Fellows help develop linkages to community organizations, work on logistical and transportation issues, and aid students in reflecting on the meaning of the community-oriented work.
Through the CEL committee, faculty may also be assisted by undergraduate Community-Engaged Representatives, who are available to research community organizations and community needs.
