Student Support Services
Student Support Services isn't just about information, it's a community. It is a place you can go to make friends, have someone read a paper you've written, or just talk about your day. Walk into the offices and you'll find students working at the computer lab, people helping each other figure out a tough chemistry assignment, and friends sitting on the big, comfy chairs discussing their plans for the weekend.
Because Student Support Services is a small program — only 135 students — you receive personalized attention to help guide you in success. At least twice a semester, students meet privately with program staff to discuss their goals, their progress, and how to get the most out of Brandeis. In addition, the academic advising, tutoring, writing assistance, help with financial aid, a small computer lab, and a peer mentoring program are available. Student Support Services works with you to enrich your college experience and help you achieve your academic goals. Throughout the undergraduate years, SSSP cares about your experience, both inside and outside of the classroom.
- The Brandeis undergraduates who are program participants represent a diverse cross-section of the student body. Participants come from all over the country and have interests as varied as environmental studies, social justice and international studies.
- Student Support Services provides assistance at every stage of undergraduate education, whether you are deciding what to take in your first semester or wondering how to prepare for your first job interview.
- Student Support Services is a federally funded TRiO program of the U.S. Department of Education, and eligibility for services is determined by federal guidelines.
