Purpose:

We're looking for an afterschool sitter for our boys at our home in West Newton

Skills/Duties:

Our older son is in high school and is mostly independent, although he may need an occasional ride and some supervision/encouragement with homework. Our younger son is in 5th grade and I'm looking for school pickup (at least most days), snack/lunch, homework supervision, and some activities to distract him from electronics on days he doesn't have homework. School ends at 12:30 on Tuesdays and several Thursdays a year, and on 3 on other days. I get home between 5:30 and 6, although both the early release Thursdays and the end time are negotiable.

Ideally we'd like a sitter who has a car, although we are fairly close to the bus that runs by Brandeis and could consider making arrangements to use one of our cars.

Even more ideally we'd love to have someone who speaks some Spanish and/or has musical skills and would encourage the boys with practicing their instruments.

Hours/Wages:

M, W, R, F 3-5:30, T 12:30-5:30, $12-$15/hour
