Purpose:
Researchers from the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine are looking for participants for a study of Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (concussion).
Skills and Duties:
This research study will use a combination of MRI and other tests to look at the long term effects of mild head injury on the brain as well as on cognitive abilities such as thinking, memory, problem solving and attention.
If you participate you will:
• Undergo an MRI scan
• Fill out questionnaires related to your symptoms and general health
• Be given computerized and paper and pencil tests of thinking, memory and problem solving
You may be eligible if you:
• Sustained a mild head injury (concussion) more than 3 months ago
• Are age 18 to 60
Time commitment is approximately 5 hours
You will receive $250 compensation for participation
Location: Boston University Medical Campus, Albany Street, Boston, MA.
Wage Rate:
$250 for the completion of the study
